Jamboree On The Air 2003

4RWebelos Woodsmoke 2003- October 18-19, 2003

Sulin's Farm, Severn Maryland

This year's JOTA took place on October 18-19, 2003, and some 500,000 Scouts, Scouters, and other youths from around the world were expected to hit the bands and experience Amateur Radio first-hand!

At the Four Rivers District, Baltimore Area Council, Webelos Woodsmoke 2003, roughly 450 Scouts, Scouters, and parents from 38 different Packs experienced amateur radio; participating in numerous international and national contacts from two HF stations; some of the QSOs ran for an hour or more with other Scout units operating JOTA.

There was considerable interest from the Scouts with most getting some time on the radio.  Please enjoy these photographs from the day.
